The project focuses on the past, present and the future of the margate pier jetty which was first opened in 1855 and completed in 1875. An octagonal pier head and pavilion was added to the jetty. Later in 1978, the Margate jetty was destroyed by the storm in 1978 causing serve flooding and damage to the east coast of Kent.
The design will tell a history of the jetty and explore future development of the Margate city towards the pier jetty. Most of the Margate city history has been in relationship with seas and seaport back in the day.

When people observe and feel outside things, it can be said that the fixed point of view can also be multi-view, multi-angle; it can be still and continuous, or it can be sports and jumping; it can be short or long; There is taste, not only a sense of depth, but also a three-dimensional sense. In order to cater to the law of people’s perception of external things, architects should organically increase the “lenses” of different scenes, angles and lengths. In addition to normal transmission and reception, they can also use materials such as deformation, exaggeration, symbolism and abstraction, virtuality, etc. Technology performs special processing.
