Pablo Picasso

What make me impressive recently, it is Pablo Picasso’s artwork. From Jan. to now, I visited several galleries in London and Paris which including Picasso and Paper, Dora Maar and Picasso, LV exhibition. And there are lots of artworks of him.

At first, I just surprised his talent and imgnation that why he can drew so special and magnificiant. After I saw some information and more understand his painting, I just so curious about his personality, mind and life.

So I started to do some research about him. And right now I focus on his blue period when he was pretty depressive.

I don’t think he has depression. He just sank into a severe depression and blue tones began to dominate his paintings. Also art therapy and paintings can be a real help in treating depression and make him more creative.

A creative person experiences the order and structure that others find comforting as inhibiting and even suffocating… he feels the need to escape into a richer and more nuanced ‘borderless grey.’ The freedom that he finds in this limbo enables him to enter into periods of intense concentration and focus akin to a trance or hypomanic episode. Such periods are characterized by heightened consciousness, frenzied activity, and intense productivity and are the hallmark of the creative process.
